The PARTICIPATION INDEX enhances understanding of civic participation and promotes awareness and use of the most important participation mechanisms. In addition, a glossary (a civic participation guide for young people) and guidelines for youth workers have been developed. The materials analyse young people’s civic competence and describe civic participation mechanisms that anyone can use to express their opinion on issues important to society, as well as to influence decisions and processes.
